Jharkhand govt. assured us of a quick decision to resolve issues raised by students,’ said JPSC JSSC Candidates’ Forum leader after talks with govt. on alleged irregularities over recruitment examinations. ‘Protest to continue until all demands, including cancellation of 14th JPSC exam, are met,’ said the delegation of students.

Jharkhand Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu on Saturday (August 8, 2026) announced that the State government has released a dedicated email ID to collect suggestions from students and stakeholders for policy reforms. Speaking to reporters after meeting with the delegation of agitating JPSC and JSSC aspirants in Ranchi, Mr. Sonu stated that the government is committed to engaging with all student groups to reach a collective decision.

The students’ protest under the JPSS-JSCC Reform Manch over alleged irregularities in competitive exams entered its 15th day on Saturday (August 8, 2026) after talks between the State government and the student protestors failed to break the deadlock.

    Govt. talks with another faction of protesters end without breakthrough, stir to continue

    The Jharkhand government on Saturday (August 8, 2026) held talks with the Devendra Nath Mahto-led faction of the job aspirants over the alleged paper leaks, but failed to break the deadlock as the protestors decided that their agitation would continue until all their demands are met.

    This is the second round of discussions that the State government held with the protesting aspirants. The first one was held on Friday night with a 10-member delegation of the JPSC/JSSC Reforms Manch.- PTI

    Jharkhand State Crime Investigation Department (CID) probing the case of alleged irregularities in competitive exams for government recruitments in the State, has now served notices to three serving members of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) .

    As per the source, the investigating agency has summoned three current JPSC members—Ajita Bhattacharya, Anima Hansda, and Jamal Ahmed and asked them to appear before the agency on August 10, 12, and 14, respectively.
