NEW DELHI: Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh on Tuesday extended support to the student protesters associated with the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) agitation, saying they should not have been treated the way they were during Monday's crackdown in Delhi.In an Instagram Story, Dosanjh urged the authorities to listen to the students' demands and wrote:

The singer also referred to the criticism he faced after supporting the farmers' protest, saying he had previously been labelled "anti-national" and expected similar accusations again for backing the students.His remarks came a day after the CJP's 'Sansad Chalo' march towards Parliament ended in clashes between protesters and police in central Delhi.Delhi Police has since registered an FIR at Connaught Place Police Station against unidentified persons in connection with the violence and alleged vandalism during the march.

CJP, meanwhile, has accused Delhi Police of using excessive force during the crackdown, alleging that volunteers were beaten and dragged on roads. The party also claimed
