The Capture is finally making a comeback for season three after a four-year hiatus.

A “faultless” thriller that’s been hailed as the “best of the best” is now ready to watch.

Actress Holliday Grainger is back as Rachel Carey for the long-awaited third season of The Capture on BBC One, alongside Paapa Essiedu as Isaac Turner and Indira Varma as presenter Khadija Khan.

Set one year after exposing “Correction”, whistleblower Rachel is gearing up to launch a new revolutionary camera network capable of catching live deepfakes in action.

However, this new technological era is disrupted when the nation is left stunned by a terror attack in central London.

While fans have been impatiently waiting for the return of The Capture, many have had to track down suitable alternatives, and one series keeps coming up when viewers ask for suggestions.

“Loved” by viewers, a 2018 thriller has been described as an “outstanding and intelligent drama all round”, as another said it has “some of the greatest writing and complex storylines I have seen in years”.

Four-part drama Collateral revolves around the fatal shooting of a Syrian refugee working as a pizza delivery driver in London.

When DI Kip Glaspie (Carey Mulligan) investigates, she discovers a complex conspiracy involving drug dealers, the church and people smugglers over just four intense days.

Bringing the thriller to life, which is now ready to binge-watch on Netflix, is Promising Young Woman star Carey Mulligan.

She is joined by none other than Unforgotten legend Nicola Walker as liberal vicar Jane Oliver, along with Life on Mars actor John Simm and Doctor Who star Billie Piper.

Describing it as “riveting topical entertainment”, someone shared that they “binge-watched it in two evenings”.

Another said, “The series had me from the first. A delight to see so many strong female characters and some excellent story lines all coming together in the end.”

A fellow fan on Rotten Tomatoes said, “Superb. Everything you want a modern thriller series to be. And limited too! Carry Mulligan is faultless.”

While another praised: “This series is simply brilliant. In fact, with each episode, it gets better and better. Low-key but smart. The dialogues are crisp.

“The pace is breathtaking without being overwhelming…honestly, this is the best of the best in my opinion. Enjoy!”

The Capture season three premieres on Sunday, March 8, at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
