Adding to the growing list of 32-inch components are the new Reserve 30 XC carbon wheels in a 32-inch version, available as a rim-only or complete wheelset. Learn more about them here…

It’s been a slow burn, but manufacturers are adopting the latest 32-inch wheel standard, with more component options by the week. Reserve Wheels, originally developed by Santa Cruz Bicycles, is the latest brand to offer a 32-inch wheel. Previously available only in 29-inch, the Reserve 30 XC carbon wheels are now available in 32-inch.

Reserve XC 32-inch Wheels

Described as “modern and race-ready,” the Reserve 30 XC wheels feature a 28-spoke count, a 30mm inner width, a 19mm rim depth, and a recommended tire width of 2.0″ to 2.4″. The carbon rim features square reinforcements around the spoke holes for added strength, and complete wheelsets use Vonoa carbon spokes and DT 350 hubs. The complete front wheel weighs 882 grams, and the rear weighs 1,029 grams. The rim itself weighs 523 grams. The wheels use a 6-bolt rotor, your choice of driver (XD, MS, or HG), and standard boost axle spacing.

We asked Reserve whether they include spare spokes with the complete wheelsets, and they said they don’t, since they expect replacement 32-inch spokes to be easier to find soon, even though they are somewhat rare right now.

The complete wheelset, with DT Swiss 350 hubs, costs $1,799 USD ($2,499 CAD), or $699 per rim. Like all of Reserve’s wheels, they come with a lifetime warranty. Visit ReserveWheels.com to learn more.
