Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay took oath as a legislator in the 17^th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Monday (May 11, 2026). Pro-tem Speaker Karuppiah administered the oath.

Barring S. Keerthana, Ministers N. Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, K.G. Arunraj, K.A. Sengottaiyan, P. Venkataramanan, R. Nirmalkumar, Rajmohan, and T.K. Prabhu took oath in the House.

Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin and former Chief Ministers Edappadi K. Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam also took oath. After doing so, the newly elected members signed in the Assembly register. Oath-taking of the other members is under way.
