Tyla will perform at the World Cup’s opening ceremonies next month, the association’s president Gianni Infantino previously announced. She will first perform in Mexico City on 11 June 2026, and then in Los Angeles the following day.
The tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026 and will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
“The Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles, the world’s entertainment capital, represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become,” Infantino wrote on Instagram.
“Global superstars Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla will headline the celebrations in Los Angeles, with additional world-renowned artists still to be announced,” the FIFA president continued.
Madonna, Shakira and BTS will headline the half-time show at the World Cup final on 19 July in New Jersey, FIFA announced. The half-time show is curated by Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin.
