Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has frozen a R6.4 million Midstream Estate luxury home and R1.8 million in pension benefits of former Tembisa Hospital official Duduzile Nobungwana.
Nobungwana, as chief buyer at the facility, is alleged to have facilitated tainted contracts for at least two procurement syndicates that formed part of a R2.3 billion extraction network.
The SIU, in a statement, said that the Midstream mansion was paid for in cash through secret transactions, laundered through shell companies and ultimately traced back to syndicate bosses Stefan Govindraju and Rudolph Mazibuko.
News24 first mapped and tracked payments to Govindraju and Mazibuko, cumulatively worth R800 million.
