The 2026 ODI Tri-Nation Series in UAE gets underway on October 17 as Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the opening match at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Afghanistan are the third team in the competition, which will feature three round-robin matches followed by the final on October 23. The top two teams in the points table will qualify for the title decider.

The tournament is being hosted by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in the United Arab Emirates. Afghanistan will be led by Rahmat Shah, while Litton Das will captain Bangladesh in the 50-over competition. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will have experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza leading their campaign.

The series follows a busy international schedule for the three teams, with Afghanistan and Bangladesh having recently played a one-off Test in the UAE. Bangladesh will look to regroup under Litton’s leadership, while Afghanistan will aim to make the most of their familiarity with UAE conditions. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will look to compete for a place in the final after opening their campaign against Bangladesh.
