In his latest video from Peru, Dan Camp wraps up the home stretch of the 1,000-mile Peru Great Divide as he continues his multi-year journey south toward Patagonia. The 25-minute episode captures dramatic weather, isolation, long climbs, spectacular volcanoes, one of the worst roads he’s ever ridden, satisfying camp-cooked meals, and, of course, dog friends.

In his usual style, Dan’s 36th video captures the essence of his ride in an unpretentious, honest, and approachable manner. He’s never afraid to admit when things aren’t going well or to pause to appreciate the small wins and high points of his unforgettable trip. Even after years on the bike, his joy at finding a scenic section of road or trail remains contagious.
