More than three years after the work was launched, the high-level bridge on one side of the Musi river at Moosarambagh was inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday, August 31, giving great relief to commuters from Amberpet and beyond travelling towards Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar and Malakpet.

Work is on for the other bridge going towards Amberpet. While the parallel bridges were planned way back in 2022 as part of the 14 heritage bridges planned on the river, work was launched only at Moosarambagh. With change of regime, and review of all the bridges, the work slowed down. The bridges came in the place of earlier causeway, which fell into ruin due to repeated flooding of the river. The new bridge, 400 metres in length, will withstand 1.5 lakh cusecs of flood water, a statement from GHMC informed. It has been built at a cost of ₹52 crore.
