The EFL Cup is a tricky competition to predict, given the huge changes Premier League managers usually make to their line-ups. That was in evidence again last night at Fleetwood and is the reason why Wednesday’s Tip of the Day has gone overseas.

Bologna are 13th but struggle against the division’s stronger sides having already lost to Lazio, Atalanta, Napoli and Inter Milan.

Inter also feature in the second leg of the double.

The defending champions visit rock-bottom Venezia having dropped two points from their opening eight games. The hosts have won just once – albeit a fine 1-0 triumph over Napoli – but we can’t see a way they repeat that against the Nerazzurri.
