We mentioned it the earlier post — the Waratahs peaked at the right time of the season.

They lost two regular-season matches to finish third on the standings but rose to the occasion when it counted, in the play-offs.

They were convincing 33-22 winners over the Western Force in the semifinals and carried that confidence into the season decider.

Waratahs skipper Emily Chancellor told ABC Sport earlier in the week her squad had tremendous self-belief, and that showed against the Drua.

The Waratahs were also rewarded for showing faith in a fresh halves pair, Tia Hinds and Waiaria Ellis.

They were a revelation in the semi and final, directing the Waratahs' attack with aplomb.

Perhaps a future Wallaroos halves combination?

Time will tell!

What a performance!

The Waratahs scored six tries to three, with the result never in doubt despite the Drua scoring some late five-pointers to add respectability on the scoreboard.

Well done to the Drua on a fine season.

They deserved to host the final after finishing on top of the regular-season standings.

But the Waratahs peaked at the right time to once again be crowned champions!

The Drua simply ran out of numbers in their defensive line, allowing Whitaker to stroll over for her side's fifth try.

The Waratahs couldn't add the extras, and they lead 29-5.

The Drua camped themselves on the Waratahs goal line but the defence from the visitors was holding up.

That was until Daunimoala dived over the ruck to touch down.
