Positioned to the left of the trajectory, Hassan reacted instantly, launching himself into a full-length dive to complete a stunning catch with remarkable control. Matt Renshaw leads Australia’s fightback

Australia’s innings, however, took a dramatic turn thanks to Renshaw, who played a composed yet aggressive knock under pressure. Walking in with his side in trouble, the left-hander rebuilt the innings before accelerating in the latter stages to remain unbeaten on 89 from just 52 deliveries.

Renshaw mixed patience with power, finding the boundary four times and clearing it on five occasions as he paced his innings expertly. He absorbed the early pressure before capitalising on scoring opportunities, ensuring Australia never lost sight of a competitive total.

His partnership with Tim David proved particularly significant. David injected momentum into the innings with a brisk 45 off only 26 balls, attacking the Bangladesh bowlers during the middle and death overs.
