 Mid-March Update

About two weeks ago. we introduced the YouTube Golf Power Rankings, a new series tracking how some of the biggest creators in golf are performing when their rounds show up on camera.

Creators are playing Open qualifiers, stroke-play championships, break-70 attempts and head-to-head matches almost every week. The level keeps rising and the scorecards are improving along with it.

So, every two weeks, we break down the YouTube Golf Power Rankings: who’s climbing, who made a move and whose handicap is trending in the right direction.

The data comes from the Handicap Tracker which monitors scores from YouTube golf videos and calculates handicaps based on those rounds.

If you missed the first edition, you can check it out here.

Slumpy

Slumpy delivered the biggest single jump in handicap impact over the past two weeks after shooting 64 (-8) in his video This Is How Scratch Golfers Play Like.

Rounds in the mid-60s will always move the needle but they are even more meaningful for players already hovering around scratch. Slumpy’s performance produced the largest handicap shift of the period.

The result also pushed him up six spots on the leaderboard, moving him to a +0.9 handicap.

Matt “Riggs” Ginella

Riggs posted one of the larger handicap changes in the latest update after shooting 80 (+8) in a stroke-play match against former PGA Tour player Colt Knost.

While the score itself may not jump off the page, the Handicap Tracker factors recent rounds against a player’s scoring history.

Riggs also moved one position up the leaderboard and now sits at a 6.3 handicap.

Josh Oddy

Josh Oddy continued to show why he remains one of the most competitive players in the YouTube golf world.

In his video testing other YouTubers’ clubs, Oddy fired a 61 (-9) which produced a measurable handicap improvement.

When players already sit around +5 handicap, moving the number requires exceptional scoring. Oddy’s round was one of the strongest performances of the latest update.
