Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayApple TV has just unveiled the trailer for season three of Silo, the drama sci-fi series based on the Howard Howley book trilogy, created by Graham Yost. The series stars leading lady Rebecca Ferguson as an engineer living in a dystopian future where a silo hosts a whole community, where 10,000 civilians remain in a 144-level and heavily regulated society.
Season 3 centres on the society, while also introducing a centuries-old origin story, as well as seeing Ferguson’s Juliette overcoming “her forced cleaning but returning with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat.”
“Meanwhile, in the ‘Before Times,’ journalist Helen Drew and Congressman Daniel Keene uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences,” the synopsis adds.
Returning from the first two series alongside Ferguson are stars Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, and Clare Perkins. New cast members include Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, Colin Hanks and Steve Zahn, alongside Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick.
Ferguson also holds executive producer credits alongside Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Amber Templemore, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and AMC Studios.
There will be 10 episodes available every Friday after the 3rd July release date, running until 4th September.
Season 1 secured an 88% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes from 69 critics, while season 2 was able to outperform its predecessor by reaching 92%. The series has also earned 20 award nominations for performances, costume design, music, cinematography and genre, winning four.
Howey’s original book trilogy began in 2011 with the short story Wool, which was later published with four follow-up novellas and Shift, Dust, as well as three short stories.
Silo returns to Apple TV on July 3rd.
