The Wallabies have been humiliated by the All Blacks via a 50-19 thumping in the opening Bledisloe Cup Test at Eden Park.

The victory means the All Blacks retain the Bledisloe Cup for yet another year, having held the precious silverware since 2003.

They also pushed their winning streak over the Wallabies out to 12 Tests and gave coach Dave Rennie a triumph in his first meeting with his former side.

Despite arriving in Auckland in a buoyant mood, the Les Kiss-coached Wallabies will return to Australia with their tail between their legs.

Their hopes of ending a 40-year losing streak against the All Blacks at Eden Park were dashed after the home side ran rampant in the second half.

Holding a slender 17-14 lead at the break, the All Blacks scored five tries to one in the second term to record a deserved victory at their spiritual home.

The All Blacks scored seven tries in total, with Damian McKenzie adding six conversions and a penalty goal.

The Wallabies began strongly, scoring a brilliant try from Tom Wright in the seventh minute of play.

Ryan Lonergan added the extras to make the score 7-0, but the All Blacks replied with converted tries from back-rowers Peter Lakai and Tupou Vaa'i.

McKenzie's 32nd-minute penalty goal extended the All Blacks' lead to 17-7, but Wallabies captain Harry Wilson scored under the posts in the shadows of half-time to keep his side in touch on the scoreboard.

Once All Blacks scrum half Cam Roigard scored eight minutes after half-time, however, the floodgates opened.

Tries from captain Codie Taylor, Leroy Carter and Josh Moorby followed, before the Wallabies managed a consolation five-pointer from reserve hooker Josh Nasser.

Will Jordan touched down for the final All Blacks' try only moments before full-time, icing the convincing win.

The Wallabies' six-match unbeaten run came to an abrupt end, with the defeat serving as a bitter reality check.

Adding to the Wallabies' woes was the loss of star centre Len Ikitau, who failed an HIA in the first half.

The result gave Kiss his first defeat since taking over as Wallabies coach from Joe Schmidt.

Kiss and his players will have to re-group quickly as both sides meet again next Saturday at Sydney's Stadium Australia.

Look back at how the action unfolded in our live blog.

That's where we're going to leave our coverage.

Thanks for jumping on board this evening. We enjoyed your company!

The All Blacks have extended their winning streak over the Wallabies to 12 Tests and retained the Bledisloe Cup for yet another year.

The Wallabies handed the silverware over in 2003 — when will they see it again?

They will also have to wait for their next chance of ending the Eden Park curse.

The All Blacks have now won 25 straight Tests over their trans-Tasman rival at the venue.

Les Kiss and his troops have to re-group quickly as they face the All Blacks again next Saturday in Sydney.

We'll be back in a week's time to do it all again.

For now, good night!

Wilson speaks after All Blacks thrashing

Wallabies skipper Harry Wilson caught up with Nine after the All Blacks' dominant win.

Tonight was probably a step back for us as we didn't win those big moments.

When you give the All Blacks a bit of ball, it's hard to get it back.

We'll review hard and come back a lot better next week.

Wallabies fans feeling the pain

I won't blame the All Blacks if they don't play us for the Bledisloe Cup going forward, I don't think there is any point doing this every year and Wallabies just getting smashed?

'They made us pay'

Wallabies fullback Tom Wright has spoken with the Nine Network after full-time.

No-one will ever question someone's effort … we're just going to have to be tidier.

They [All Blacks] were very good at converting … they made us pay and we gave them back the ball in a couple of instances.

We left a couple of tries [out there] when we earned field position.

We just didn't take the points, unfortunately.
